Hien is an education entrepreneur and investment advisor. Born and raised in Vietnam, she recently returned home after 15 years of living and working in the U.S., Canada and Africa. Since 2012, she has been managing Golden Path Academics Vietnam JSC (GPA), which offers academic enrichment, personal development and college counseling to about 1,500 students each year. In 2014, Hien also founded Rockit Online, Vietnam’s first live online school. Rockit attracted capital investment from big U.S. start-ups funds such as Learn Capital, Formation 8 and Noodle. A graduate of Vietnam National University, Faculty of Foreign Language Teaching, Hien has worked as an assistant reporter for the Associated Press in Hanoi from and later reported for Bloomberg News from Africa and North America. From 2005 to 2011, she was a policy advisor in Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s New York City Administration.

Hien holds a Master of Science from Columbia University and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University. She is a founding board member and a co-president of the Harvard Club in Vietnam. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association.
